The BCK Solar Cooker (Javier Bertani, Ezequiel Castro & Vera Kade) is a product that improves the quality of life by enabling people to cook in a clean and green, without having to use renewable energy sources and uncontaminated the environment (ecological design). The advantages of this project are that it can be used anywhere in nature where no resources are available and should protect the environment, as well as in situations where we wish to experience an innovative way of cooking and working in harmony with nature. The mirrored surface is unrolled and deployed and then join ends to form a conical reflective surface. The vessel is placed in the center of cone facing the sun.
The container is filled with water and as it reaches high temperatures, the food is introduced into the container. Once it is cooked, the water is removed and cleaned the kitchen running like new. If necessary to maintain the water temperature, the mirrored surface can be re-rolled to improve insulation.
